PARTICIPANTS

Alex is currently a candidate for a BS in Environmental Design at Art Center College of Design with a concentration in Designmatters and Business. She is particularly interested in exploring how design, business and technology intersect in hopes of creating innovative solutions in the areas of education, health and social entrepreneurship. As a Designmatters student, she has conducted ethnographic research in the slums of Peru and India using human-centered design thinking and methodologies. Following these projects, she served as a Strategy Intern at Hot Studio, an experience design agency in San Francisco where she was a part of the social innovation team. Inspired by her experience as an exchange student at the INSEAD Business School in Singapore, Alex recently founded the Art Center Business Club – laying the foundations for a legacy social network serving the ACCD community and partners. Alex anticipates on graduating in December of 2013 and hopes to join the social impact community as a Design Strategist and Researcher.
