What Moves You?

Gala Narezo specializes in creating platforms for social issues using design thinking, mindfulness and storytelling. She is a photographer, NGO representative and educator. Her work focuses on community and collaborative solutions. A graduate of Yale University and Art Center College of Design, she worked in television and film production before focusing on photography. As an NGO representative to the United Nations for Designmatters at Art Center, in 2005, she co-founded what moves you?an organization that produces educational public art and media. Recent projects have concentrated on maternal health, sustainability and immigration. Gala teaches Design Advocacy at Pratt Institute where she co-founded Public Project in the Graduate Communication Design Department. She is currently developing curricula and programs combining design/art, social impact and mindfulness for students of all ages.
