Ian Curry
Interaction DesignerIan Curry is an interaction designer currently designing tools for creative collaboration with FiftyThree, makers of “Paper by FiftyThree.”
As former Director of Interaction Design at Local Projects, Ian oversaw the design of interactive media for museums and civic spaces, including projects for the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the National Museum of American Jewish History, and the Cleveland Museum of Art. Local Projects was named the #2 most innovative design firm worldwide by Fast Company, and was honored three times by the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award.
At Local Projects, Ian helped create Change by Us, a collaboration with the Office of the Mayor of New York to engage citizens with new tools for community activism.
Formerly at Frog Design, Ian’s work included research and design for clients including BBC, TV Guide, and MTV.
Independently, Ian has worked on interactive information visualization projects for the United Nations and Eyebeam.
