PARTICIPANTS

A native Argentine raised in California, Mariana del Carmen Somma is fueled by her love for making, designing and exploring. She is currently pursuing an MS in Industrial Design from Art Center, as well as an MBA from the Drucker Business School at the Claremont Graduate University. She has a background in architecture from UC Berkeley and has experience in high-end hospitality and restaurant design while working for San Francisco based firms, Architecture & Light, and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Her passion for being hands-on led her to woodworking, metalworking and CNC fabrication in the greater Bay Area. Her current work focuses on business strategy with an interest in sustainable business practices. Mariana is eager to make an impact through her design and strives for innovations that contribute to society.
