Nadia Roumani
Stanford Design SchoolNadia Roumani is a lecturer and a 2012-13 Fellow at the Stanford Design School, where she is focusing on design thinking and philanthropy, launching the Muslim Giving Project, and running workshops for foundations across the country. She has been focusing on how to apply design thinking to the strategy development, internal processes, project development, and collaboration efforts of existing foundations and start-up initiatives. Most recently Nadia led workshops for the Gates Foundation, the Council on Foundations, the Florida Philanthropy Network, Nexus Youth Summit, and the Tarrytown Group of Jewish foundations. Nadia is a serial social entrepreneur. Over the past decade she has launched several organizations including the Initiative for Policy Dialogue with Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz at Columbia University, Global Policy Innovations Program at the Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs, the Building Bridges Program at the Doris Duke Foundation, and the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute at the University of Southern California.
