Terence D. West is director of WorkSpace Futures Research and Strategy for Steelcase Inc., the global leader in the office furniture industry. The Steelcase portfolio includes architecture, furniture and technology products for work environments.

Terry is responsible for the WorkSpace Futures Discoveries horizons groups including Theme-Based Research and Applied Science & Technology Research groups at the company’s Global Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.

In his career at Steelcase, Terry has held a variety of positions in design, strategy, international business development, and advanced R&D in the U.S., Asia and Europe.

Terry is a member of the Industrial Designers Society of America and a member of ACM. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors, GVU Center, Georgia Institute of Technology, College of Computing Science; The Foley Scholars Committee, Georgia Institute of Technology; and The Advisory Board for the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation.
