Her multi-disciplinary background in action sports, film, art, design, and healthcare has given her new and diverse perspectives to apply to creating meaningful products and services. Toi fell in love with design and all of its details, subtle simplicities, complex processes, challenging functionalities, and never-ending flexibility as a student of The School of Design Strategies at Parsons The New School for Design. Before joining Adaptive Path, she worked in design research and development at a major cancer center facilitating co-creation projects with clinicians, administration, and patients to design positive experiences for patients and their families. She believes design’s impact could be farther reaching and wants to uncover how it can play a more prominent role in the design of public services.
